Communications Director
Bennet for Colorado is accepting applications for Communications Director. This is a full-time, paid position based in Denver, Colorado.
The Communications Director will establish communications goals and develop plans. They will lead efforts across departments to in high stakes moments like defending against incoming attacks and preparing for high profile appearances and events.
Qualifications:
Planned and executed responses to fact checks or opposition research
Developed communications plans
Monitored local and national political landscapes for challenges and opportunities
Worked for a Colorado principal or campaign
Worked for 2 to 3 cycles on a political campaign
On this collaborative campaign, the Communications Director will report to the Campaign Manager and work closely with research and digital teams.
Compensation: $7,500 to $8,500 per month based on experience, plus medical, dental and vision health insurance benefits.

Press Assistant
Bennet for Colorado is looking to hire a Press Associate to join the Colorado team. This role will work under the Press Secretary and communications team to execute any and all communications needs. The position will be based out of the campaign headquarters in Denver, Colorado, with a remote start as an option.
Job Functions & Expectations:
- Develop and update media lists in key markets around the state, and identify national reporters.
- Help draft press releases and other campaign communications.
- Update master talking points document based on key interviews and speeches.
- Work with necessary internal staff to coordinate interviews.
- Prepare memos ahead of press interactions.
- Assist in planning, building, and staffing of events for the campaign
- Support other campaign related activities as needed
Qualifications:
** Colorado ties are a plus! **
- Previous campaign or issue advocacy experience, either through internships or volunteer work.
- General understanding of media landscape and reporter <> PR interactions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Self-motivated team player with an ability to multitask.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours as needed.
Compensation: Salary range for this position is $40,000-$50,000/year, commensurate with experience, plus health insurance benefits.

Senior Finance Associate
Bennet for Colorado is looking to hire a Senior Finance Associate to join the Colorado team. This role will work under the National Finance Director and the finance team to execute the finance plan and help with any fundraising needs. The role will have a specific focus on call time, events, and major donor outreach. The position will be based out of the campaign headquarters in Denver, Colorado, with a remote start as an option.
Job Functions & Expectations:
- Assist in planning, building, and staffing of events for the campaign
- Prepare and staff candidate call time
- Research prospective donors and help manage the finance database
- Interact with donors and prospective donors – via email, phone, Zoom, and in-person
- Schedule meetings with key donors across the state and country
- Manage and train finance interns
- Coordinate with national finance consultants to assist in outreach and events ● Assist in tracking finance goals
- Assist with other campaign related activities as needed
Qualifications:
** Colorado ties are a plus! **
- Prior campaign finance experience, either this cycle or last cycle
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Proficient with NGP and ActBlue
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated team player with an ability to multitask
- Ability to work non-traditional hours as needed
Compensation: Salary range for this position is $45,000-$55,000/year, commensurate with experience, plus health insurance benefits.

Fall Finance Internship
U.S. Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO) is running for re-election in 2022. His campaign is seeking enthusiastic and committed interns to join our finance team in Spring 2022. This internship is remote, with an option for in-person for Denver-based applicants.
Job Functions & Expectations:
- Commitment of 10-20 hours per week (flexible schedule but must be completed during normal business hours)
- Assist with preparation, management, and follow-up for finance and political events
- Donor data entry and management
- Research projects
- Other assigned tasks
Qualifications:
- Enthusiastic support of Senator Bennet and Democratic Party values
- Interest in politics and campaigns
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft word, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Drive
- Access to a consistent internet connection, computer, and phone
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, fun, and positive campaign culture
- Organizational and detail-oriented skill-set

Compensation: Interns will be paid at the rate of $15 / hour
